DAIRY CLOVER BUDS
Cloverbud members 6 and 7 years old may exhibit a junior heifer calf (only dairy booster premiums will be paid).
Cloverbud members 5 year old will be limited to participation in the baby calf parade and educational exhibits.
DAIRY COW OPTION
An exhibitor showing a milking dairy cow may enter the cow on Sunday, or option until Wednesday from 9 AM to 12 Noon. If the exhibitor chooses the Wednesday option, he or she must bring a heifer or dairy feeder to enter on Sunday.
1. Tradition and good judgment dictate first and second year members shall exhibit a calf or yearling which they have fitted and trained. One animal will be permitted. No calves born after April 1 of this year, may be exhibited except in the Baby Dairy Calf Class.
2. Advanced exhibitors, who have had three or more years, may exhibit 3 females, two of which may be purchased providing the purchase of one was before July 1 of the year preceding the fair.
3. No bulls can be entered or exhibited in the Junior Show.
4. Senior yearlings in production will show in the 2 year old class.
5. Production Record Class: This Class may be entered in addition to the regular classes for cows in milk, provided the member qualifies. Additional premiums will be paid on the basis of production, regardless of position in the regular class. The production record covering a lactation period of at least 305 days must be presented at the time entries are checked.
Records that qualify for awards will be announced in the show ring following the judging of each class. In order to qualify, each cow must have produced in the latest 305 day lactation, as follows, for different ages of calving at the start of the lactation period:
(a) 2 years old - 425 pounds of fat
3 years old - 450 pounds of fat
4 years old - 500 pounds of fat
5 years old or over - 525 pounds of fat
(b) Records of production must be presented at time of show, and these records shall be on a 4-H production record card, daily record sheet, or D.H.I.A. form.
(c) The club member showing the animal must have owned the animal during the entire period which the record covers.
6. Champions will be designated only when competition and quality warrants.

2. Intermediate Heifer Calf-December 1, 2022-February 28, 2023.
3. Senior Heifer Calf-September 1, 2022 - November 30, 2022.
4. Junior Yearling Heifer-March 1, 2022 - August 31, 2022.
5. Senior Yearling Heifer-September 1, 2021-February 28, 2022.
6. Two Year Old Cow-September 1, 2020 - August 31, 2021.
7. Three Year Old Cow-September 1, 2019- August 31, 2020.
8. Four Year Old Cow-September 1, 2018 - August 31, 2019.
9. Aged Cow, five years and older, born before September 1, 2018.
Senior Champion Female (winner of classes 8-11).
Ribbons only.
Grand Champion Female (1st place animals in classes 1-5 and 8-11).
Reserve Grand Champion Female (1st place animals in classes 1-5 and 8-11 and 2nd place animal in class from which Grand Champion was selected).
All entries in any one of the following three classes must have been shown previously by the same exhibitor.

SECTION 7 - EDUCATIONAL POSTERS
Posters should be 22"x 28" and illustrate some aspect of dairying.
Posters may be entered regardless of whether cattle are shown.
Posters will be entered Monday in the dairy barn and judged on Thursday by Dairy Booster members. They will be displayed in the dairy barn.
Premiums will be paid by Dairy Boosters.

The Isabella County Dairy Boosters will present ribbons for each entry in the Baby Dairy Calf Parade.

HAND MILKING CONTEST
The contest will be held on Thursday following the judging in the livestock pavilion. Winner will be determined by weight of milk in time allowed.
